Helping dog owners find playdates nearby

Pawships app screens.

Problem

Finding local playdates was hard, arranging them was clumsy, and pet-friendly places were hard to find.

My role

UX/UI design from concept to clickable prototype and developer handoff.

Outcome

An app design with pet profiles, swipe discovery, messaging and video calls, and a map of meetup spots.

1. Solution

  • Pet profiles: breed, age, size, behaviour and preferences.
  • Friend discovery: a swipe-based way to find nearby dogs and owners.
  • Communication: messaging and video calls to arrange meetups.
  • Location services: maps of pet-friendly places for meetups.
